Razer Huntsman TE Keyboard Review

With the previous Razer Huntsman keyboard being equipped with a more traditional full size keyboard layout with Numpad, the Razer Huntsman Tournament Edition sports a TLK (Tenkeyless) design and was built with the competitive gamer in mind. It has a sleek and minimal design with a plastic body and aluminum top plate with the non intrusive Razer name sitting above the cursor keys. At the top left of the keyboard is a USB Type-C port, ready to accommodate the USB Type-C cable included in the box or with one of your own for added customization. The “For Gamers By Gamers” slogan covers the back of the keyboard, along with the product information label, two adjustable legs and rubber feet.

Razer Huntsman TE Keyboard Review

Razer is synonymous with RGB lighting and they do not disappoint with this keyboard. With the combination of the Razer Huntsman Tournament Edition and Razer Synapse, 16.8 million available colors, and onboard memory able to store up to 5 custom profiles, the customization options feel endless. Typing is very snappy thanks to Razer’s “faster actuation.” With it’s Linear Optical Switches and 40g actuating force, this keyboard provides the speed gamers need but may require a learning curve for productivity due to its lack of Numpad, macro keys and key sensitivity.

In conclusion, the Razer Huntsman Tournament Edition keyboard’s build quality, compact design, speed and customization far exceed the retail price and would be an excellent choice for all gamers, novice to professional.
